Earlier this week, CEO Steph Locke was named as one of the UK’s 100 most inspirational female entrepreneurs by Small Business Britain’s f:Entrepreneur '#ialso100' campaign. The campaign recognises the multi-achievements of the women who have proved critical to society during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initially launched on International Women's Day 2017, f:Entrepreneur is now in its fourth year and received a record number of applications. Its purpose is to highlight, celebrate and promote incredible female role models and share their stories with small businesses and the wider community.

There is a strong focus on female entrepreneurs that are juggling multiple responsibilities from mentoring to community activities. As an author, speaker, trainer and mentor in the tech space, Steph fulfils this #ialso100 lifestyle requirement. In her company in this year's cohort are inspiring and resilient female entrepreneurs that have grown and flourished despite Covid-19, specialising in everything from beekeeping to pole-dancing, and tech to PPE.

On being listed in the #ialso100 2021, Steph Locke said: “It's an honour to be listed among such inspirational women. I am looking forward to sharing ideas and getting to know them at the first event on International Women's Day.”

Both f:Entrepreneur and Small Business Britain were founded by Michelle Ovens CBE, who is also the director of Small Business Saturday UK.

“Congratulations to all the inspiring women chosen to join this year’s #ialso100,” said Michelle Ovens. “Despite the significant obstacles thrown at them in the last year, female entrepreneurship continues to grow and flourish. We need to continue, and increase, our support for these incredible women and celebrate their amazing strength and success in the face of huge challenges.”

“We have seen so many women embracing change, generating and exploring new ideas, rallying around their communities and supporting their peers. This resilience is hugely valuable and will set them up for success as they will be at the very heart of the UK’s recovery.”
